InterCom Steering Committee Meeting in London, 13-14 June

The InterCom project held its 2nd Steering Committee Meeting at Navigator’s London office on 13-14 June 2014.


The Internationalisation and Commercialisation Methods for Business Networks is a 24-month project which supports business clusters and networks in Poland and Lithuania. There are three core objectives of the project:

  1. To support internationalisation of business clusters as well as cluster members through international market analysis, subcontracting and joint venture development, export promotion, technology licensing, joint research and development and other means;

  2. To support the commercialisation of business cluster services to members as well as third parties;

  3. To develop the enhanced online marketing of business clusters.


The Steering Committee meeting was attended by:

  • Jakub Sitek, Project Manager and Director of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Poland

  • Philip Ammerman, Managing Partner of Navigator Consulting Partners LLP, United Kingdom

  • Maciej Pietrzykowski, Project Manager of the Foundation for Local Government, Poland

  • Sarunas Pundzius, Director of the Human Capital Research and Development Institute of Lithuania.


Key topics discussed included:

  1. The development of a competency framework for internationalisation and commercialisation for business cluster managers

  2. The development of the Learning Management System (LMS) that will be used to provide the training

  3. The scheduling and content of the first training session, which will be held in Lithuania in October 2014.

The InterCom project is a continuation of the Strengthening of Business Partnership in Economic Networks (SeBPEN), which took place in Poland and Lithuania in 2011-2013.
