To act as a hub where cluster managers and a general audience can seek specialized information, evaluate their knowledge and diagnose the needs of their organizations, develop further skills and capabilities, as well as receive online training and consultancy support in an effective and modern way that allows these processes to be combined with their daily activities;
To help trainers, researchers and consultants offer their knowledge and support to the targeted audience, as well as help in building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients across borders and markets;
To help organizers and managers of the InterCom project disseminate the specially developed materials to the target audiences, organize training sessions and provide consultations to clusters, helping them to achieve project related tasks and obligations.
To identify users and allow them to view specific content, the platform is divided into two zones: one available to everyone and the other available to registered users only, both of them distinguished by different content and functionality. The platform allows registered users to save their preferences, select courses or materials, track their progress in reviewing specific content (e.g. remember their position in a presentation or the number of watched video clips in a sequence), as well as store the results of quizzes, questionnaires and surveys. User profiles allow direct communication between members and the trainer/consultant, as well as between members and groups of members.
The whole platform is based on Moodle, which is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create a personalised learning environment. Moodle is also widely recognised as an excellent learning tool which means the platform is easy to navigate for anybody who uses online tools during his or her studies.
