The tourism sector is the large sector globally. Prior to COVID, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) estimated that the broader tourism sector accounted for 1 in 4 of all new jobs created across the world, 10.3% of all jobs (333 million), and 10.3% of global GDP ($9.6 trillion). International visitor spending amounted to $1.8 trillion in 2019 (6.8% of total exports).

In 2020 and 2021, tourism arrivals saw a significant decline due to COVID and the ensuring flight disruptions and lock-downs. In 2022, significant recovery has been seen, with destinations such as Greece recovering to nearly 2019-levels in terms of arrivals, and Cyprus reaching approximately 80% of arrivals.

Since our inception, we have supported investors evaluate the risks and financial benefits of investing in tourism.
