On behalf of the hotel owner, Navigator has completed an investment due diligence and turn-around plan for a 4*, 190-room beachfront hotel located in Rhodes, Greece.
Rhodes is a Greek tourism destination that combines large hotels driven by tour operator and OTA business, as well as a range of smaller hotels and Airbnb-style tourism apartments and villas. The Old City of Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage site, while locations such as Lindos attract hundreds of thousands of overnight tourists and day visitors every year.
According to the South Aegean Tourist Initiative, tourist arrivals in Rhodes saw 2,550,000 tourists arrivals in the first 9 months of 2022, up by 9% over 2019 arrivals of 2,340,000 tourists. The leading tourism source markets included the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, France and Israel.
In early 2022, Navigator was mandated to support the sale of a 190-room, 4* hotel in Rhodes, on a strategic beachfront location between the airport and town of Rhodes. The sales decision was based on family ownership and changing management requirements.
