Navigator is seeking a project management assistant / proposal writer to strengthen our consulting project practice. Based in Athens, Greece, your responsibilities will be to:

  1. Support the selection of project partners across Europe. You will identify and communicate potential new members, as well as communicate with existing members to strengthen organisational descriptions, task descriptions and contributions.

  2. Define project concepts and work towards gaining funding for these concepts via support for proposal writing and editing.

  3. As proposals are approved, you will have the opportunity to participate in selected projects and develop competency in a practise area.


The position includes a mix of home and office-based work. You will be expected to clearly define deadlines, set tasks, implement these tasks successfully, and move forward. Travel will be necessary within approximately 6 months from recruitment.


Required Competencies

  • The ability to write fluently and rapidly in English, mastering the technical vocabulary necessary in specific economic segments such as education and training, tourism, and online tactics and tools (business intelligence, software-as-a-service, cloud-based services, etc).

  • The ability to clearly and coherently express complex concepts, taking into account cross-cutting issues at the forefront of European policy-making such as sustainability, gender equality, policy harmonisation, and cohesion.

  • The ability to communicate with and work effectively within quickly-adapting project teams comprising Navigator staff, external consultants and partners, and consortium partners from a wide range of European countries.

  • The ability to meet deadlines.

  • The ability to keep track of multiple projects and commitments.

  • The ability to travel on short trips within Europe (3-5 days) when required.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in a subject related to the analytical and writing competencies described. This could be in journalism, English, European studies, engineering, or other field.

  • Clear evidence of English language writing ability. Writing samples will be requested, and a writing test will be implemented as part of the recruitment process.

  • 1-5 years prior experience in a position which requires extensive writing and reporting skills

Salary and Remuneration


We offer a competitive, entry-level salary with success fees based on approved projects. This is a partner-track position: successful candidates will be promoted quickly and given responsibility over business practises defined specifically on your success record.


Duration


The contract will start on June 8th or as soon as the recruitment process has been successfully concluded. The probation period is 3 months.
