Crete and Cyprus are two of the richest regions in terms of speciality food products and ingredients. While some products, such as wine or olive oil, have been known since antiquity, others such as organic herbs, cheeses, honey and other Mediterranean or Cretan Diet staples have become internationally recognised for their nutritional and health benefits.
Navigator has been selected by international tender by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) to organise a speciality food buyer’s mission from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia. The missions will take place on:
September 21 – 26: Heraklion, Crete
October 29 – November 2: Nicosia, Cyprus
Specialist wholesellers, imports, distributors and retailers of traditional and Mediterranean food and beverage products and ingredients from these countries are invited to participate in these two delegations, with all travel expenses paid for by the Chamber.
The main product categories targeted are
Olive oil, olive paste, olives
Aromatic herbs, plants, nuts, honey
Wines and alcoholic drinks, ouzo, zivania, raki
Mineral water, beverages, fruit juices
Dairy products, cheeses, Greek yoghurt, ice cream
