Navigator Consulting will launch consulting operations in Kazakhstan in October 2026, working from Astana and Almaty. Our new consulting operation will support Kazakhstani and international companies, investors and institutions, with a particular focus on technology, innovation and investment.
Kazakhstan combines substantial natural resources and industrial capacity with a rapidly developing technology and investment ecosystem. Its economy grew by 6.5% in 2025, supported by domestic demand, oil production and growth across manufacturing and services.
The country is an established international energy centre, with major positions in oil, gas and uranium, as well as growing investment in renewable energy, infrastructure and industrial modernisation. Its location also places it at the centre of the Middle Trade and Transport Corridor, connecting China with European markets through Central Asia, the Caspian Sea and the South Caucasus.
Kazakhstan’s technology sector is developing rapidly. Astana Hub reported approximately USD 633 million in IT service exports by its participants in 2025, together with the emergence of Kazakhstan’s first technology unicorn. The growth of fintech, artificial intelligence, digital services, e-commerce and technology exports is creating new opportunities for companies, entrepreneurs and investors from Kazakhstan and international markets.
The Astana International Financial Centre provides an important platform for this development. Since its launch in 2018, the AIFC has attracted approximately USD 20 billion into Kazakhstan’s economy and registered more than 4,900 companies from over 90 countries. Its financial infrastructure, regulatory framework, exchange, court and international arbitration system support both domestic and cross-border investment.
Navigator is prepared to consider selected investment opportunities developed through the AIFC, particularly in technology and innovation. Any investment participation will be subject to detailed due diligence, commercial viability and the applicable regulatory requirements.
Navigator’s consulting activities in Kazakhstan will include:
Investment promotion and investor outreach
Commercial, financial and operational due diligence
Business planning and feasibility assessment
Financial analysis, modelling and valuation
Market entry and growth strategy
Technology commercialisation and startup development
Support for international partnerships and cross-border investment
Navigator’s relationship with Kazakhstan extends back to 2000, when we implemented our first assignment in the country for the European Training Foundation. The launch builds on this experience and reflects Navigator’s long-term interest in Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.
Through its presence in Astana and Almaty, Navigator will work with companies seeking investment and international expansion, as well as investors looking for credible, well-prepared opportunities in one of Central Asia’s most dynamic markets.
Navigator is proud to support Kazakhstan’s national development efforts and contribute to the country’s continuing economic diversification. Our objective is to help promising companies become stronger, more investable and internationally competitive; connect sound projects with appropriate partners and capital; and support investments that generate sustainable commercial returns while creating employment, transferring knowledge and contributing to the long-term prosperity of Kazakhstan and its people.
