For a due diligence and business planning project, Navigator Consulting Group is recruiting a project consultant for a 4-week engagement in the field of lithium-ion battery production for the automotive sector.


The consultant will:

  • Support an international market study in the global lithium ion battery market for passenger automobiles, including full electric, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and hybrids with range extenders

  • Assist in developing a business plan and financial forecast for the construction of a battery plant in SE Europe, using a mix of data adapted from our client as well as own experience.

  • Support the capacity planning and assumptions of the business plan and financial forecast.

The consultant should have prior management experience in production or other operational aspects of lithium-ion batteries, e.g. sales and marketing, purchasing or finance. This can be either via work with one of the major battery manufacturers (e.g. Johnson Controls, Exide, Deka, etc), via an auto OEM, or via one of the new battery manufacturers (e.g. A123, Li-Tec, Johnson Controls, NEC, etc).


The consultant must be able to contribute substantially to the study, including defining issues  such as plant capacity, product specifications and product costing.


All work will be implemented in the English language.


A brief travel commitment of 2 weeks to SE Europe is required.
