ART.Cy Field Trip to Yorgos Papadopoulos, Kedares Village, Paphos

ART.Cy is honoured to announce a series of field trips dedicated to strengthen the art community in Cyprus by building meaningful connections between artists, galleries, and art lovers.



Our first field trip takes place on Saturday, 21 June at 15:00 at Kedares Village, in the studio of renowned glass artist Yorgos Papadopoulos. The field trip is free but participants will need to arrange their own transport to the studio.



Yorgos Papadopoulos, born in Limassol, Cyprus, in 1969, is a glass artist celebrated for his innovative techniques and distinctive approach to the medium. He pursued Art & Design and Interior Design at Middlesex Polytechnic in London, earning a BA (Hons) in Interior Design in 1993. Furthering his studies, he obtained an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art in London in 1999.


 

His work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including venues in the UK, USA, Cyprus, Australia, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and Turkey. Notable exhibitions include 'The New Icons' at Vessel Gallery in London (2008), 'I.con.i.cal.ly' at Bridge Gallery in New York (2008), and 'Layers of Depth' at Alpha C.K. Art Gallery in Nicosia, Cyprus (2019).

 

His works are held in both private and public collections globally.
