World Cancer Day

Today, 4 February 2021 is World Cancer Day.

We invite you to take a moment to reflect on the deleterious impact of cancer on our families and society.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) estimates that globally, 1 in 5 people develop cancer during their lifetime, and 1 in 8 men and 1 in 11 women die from the disease.

In 2020, the IRAC estimated that some 10 million people died of cancer worldwide.

We take this moment to reflect on our gratitude for the survivors of cancer, and for the ceaseless efforts of doctors, nurses, hospitals and specialists of all kinds who are battling the disease.

Health and wellness is the core of our existence. Treasure it.
