The UNDP Youth Innovation has announced a competition for innovative solutions to environmental and social problems in Cyprus. The competition is open to young people ages 18-35 years old. The competition winner will receive € 25,000 as well as a 3-month training and mentoring programme. Deadline for applications: 24 September 2023.
Rapidly developing social and environmental issues calls for modern, futuristic and technology oriented solutions. The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Youth Innovation Factory is to build a sustainable future, remodel the approach to existing issues and find technology- driven results.
The UNDP YIF provides an opportunity for young people in Cyprus (18-35 years) to participate and develop technology-based solutions for the environmental and social dilemmas in Cyprus.
Candidates can choose from the two themes-social and environmental-or follow UN Sustainable Development Goals: https://sdgs.un.org/goals.
Teams of participants will choose and develop ideas, strategies and solutions for Cyprus challenges. They will present their solutions to a panel of professionals of various fields, such as diverse stakeholders and mentors.
The YIF will reward young and ambitious creators with a seed funding award of € 25,000. It will also benefit the future leaders with an intensive 3-month training programme. Contestants should apply by September 24th, 2023:
