Mantra project launches first call for manufacturing SMEs

The European Union Mantra project has launched its first open call targeting manufacturing SMEs across Europe. This initiative offers eligible firms up to € 50,000 in funding to support the adoption of sustainable and advanced digital technologies. The deadline for submissions is 15 September 2025.

 

The Mantra initiative emphasizes on open innovation and sustainability. Mantra intends to help manufacturing businesses access new growth pathways via technology-integration and collaborative networks.

 

Conditions for participation include:

 

  • Legal registration in the European Union.

     

  • Active in manufacturing sectors such as machinery, food, textiles, plastics, metals, or ceramics.

 

All applications are in English and submitted via the Mantra platform. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their project would advance sustainability, circular economy practices, clean energy use, automation.


Selected SMEs will receive support from advisory services, coaching, peer learning, and customized web‑based support services. They will engage with tech providers and experts to co-design scalable roadmaps for digital and green innovation.


Companies interested in joining the Mantra Programme, even without applying for funding, can register for the SMEs’ Open Network to stay updated. No application required in this case.
