Navigator Consulting is recruiting a technical expert for two cold storage facility investment projects in Central Asia.
The technical expert is expected to provide a preliminary assessment of the feasibility of the investment plan in light of the capital investment program.
The assignment requires between 5 and 8 working days in Tashkent, followed by home-based reporting. The assignment will take place in September 2017, and the expert will be part of a larger due diligence team working in that country.
The assignment is expected to:
Confirm the appropriateness of the new equipment/facility in the context of the Company’s development plan (focusing both on cold storage/processing and on procurement of cold storage vehicles and point-of-sale refrigerators);
Assess the appropriateness and compatibility of the new equipment with regards to (i) existing and new production facilities and distribution infrastructure of the Company (ii) planned creation of new cold storage/processing facility (and related expenditures for its installation) (iii) cost effectiveness/rationale of the new production line;
Identify likely and potential problems which may occur before, during and after the installation of the new equipment and recommend on the ways of avoiding or solving such problems if they occur;
Assess the appropriateness of the Proposed Supplier as compared to other market participants (from a quality/price point of view);
Assess the technical characteristics of the raw materials from the point of view of their appropriateness for the production equipment and expected quality / characterises of the final products;
Analyse logistics costs for raw materials delivery to production site and their effect on the project’s investment attractiveness;
Confirm the appropriateness of the payment, delivery and installation terms of the equipment supply contract and advise on the ways to minimise risks related with fulfilment of this contract;
Assess if there are any needs for additional investments in the production process/premises of the Company.
The expert should have the following profile:
Extensive experience in developing and managing cold storage facilities in Europe and/or other parts of the world. This experience should include both operational management as well as the investment and commissioning process.
Excellent knowledge of English language. Knowledge of Russian language would be an asset.
Capability to work independently while hosted in an enterprise.
Respect for client management, customs and traditions.
A confidentiality policy and contract will be in effect.
