For a due diligence on an investment project, Navigator Consulting Group is recruiting a consultant with experience in operating, inspecting and valuing a jack-up oil rig.
Our client is currently evaluating whether or not to purchase a second-hand, refurbished jack-up rig. Built in the late 1980s, the rig was recently renovated and is in drydock in the Gulf region. The objectives of the consultancy assignment are to:
Inspect and evaluate the operating condition of the rig
Interview selected members of the rig crew and/or operating company to identify operating issues
Support an independent valuation of the rig, in conjunction with our financial analysts
Determine whether the rig is fit for purpose and what the anticipated lifecycle of the rig is
Support a contract review and determination of the likely operating and maintenance costs of the rig over the next 20 years
The qualifications of the consultant are:
At least 5 years experience in due diligence and inspections of drilling rigs
At least 10 years experience in operating and/or maintaining drilling rigs
Extensive experience in the international marine oil & gas industry
Understanding of trends and developments in the oil & gas industry
The assignment will start as soon as a consultant can be identified and will last approximately 2 weeks.
